Dr. Elizabeth Battles, English professor, and Lisa Hammonds, CETL director, co-presented at the Global Citizenship Conference hosted by Tarrant County College Office of Instructional and International Initiaives and the North Texas Community College Consortium.
Their presentation, "Bringing Global Perspectives to Student Learning Outcomes," focused on providing resources for participants with the goal of an improved international experience for all students.
The aim of the presentation was to encourage participants to ponder how they might modify learning outcomes to support global topics. The presentation included suggestions for integrating and assessing global outcomes in assignments as well designing an entire course with a global prespective. The session ended with participants sharing their experiences and methods currently implemented in their courses.
