The facilities department is pleased to announce that Michael Poole has been named director of facilities. In his new role, Poole is tasked with directing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of all building, housekeeping and grounds maintenance for Texas Wesleyan.
In addition, Poole will work with Executive Director Brian Franks on all renovation and new construction projects.
“Michael has a strong background in supervising large maintenance and construction projects,” Brian Franks, executive director of facilities development and operations, said. “We are very excited about the experience he brings to our team and to have him on board.”
Prior to joining Texas Wesleyan, Michael served as vice president of operations for the Texas Rangers’ Double-A franchise, the Frisco RoughRiders. Michael joined the RoughRiders in January of 2003 and was a key member in the opening of Dr Pepper Ballpark prior to its inaugural season.
During his tenure with the RoughRiders, Poole also oversaw all aspects of facility, food & beverage, baseball, game day and event operations. He was responsible for all multi-million dollar capital improvement projects and renovations that have taken place at Dr Pepper Ballpark.
