Texas Wesleyan University faculty members are invited to an informal Q&A session with Willson Lectureship speakers Ndaba Mandela, grandson of Nelson Mandela and Naomi Tutu, daughter of Archbishop Desmond Tutu, at 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28, in Lou’s Place.
Faculty are asked to please submit their RSVP for the reception no later than Sept. 25.
During the session, faculty will have the opportunity ask questions in an informal Q&A moderated by Mark Hanshaw, associate dean of the School of Arts & Letters. Wine and cheese will be served.
Faculty may submit questions in advance. Pre-submitted questions will be asked first during the 45-minute session.
This year’s Willson Lectureship is the first time human rights activists Ndaba Mandela and Naomi Tutu, whose forefathers ended apartheid, will be on stage together. The lecture, Continuing to Strive for Truth and Reconciliation, will be presented at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28 in Martin Hall.
The Willson Lectureship is an endowed speaker series that was established in 1946 by Mr. J.M. Willson and Mrs. D.M. Willson, and family. The lecture takes place during the fall semester.
