Improvements on the south side of East Rosedale Street are complete and the lanes have been reopened for two-way traffic. Road construction has moved to the north side of the street (which is now closed).

This alters the previous traffic flow, so be sure to watch for signs as you are driving to and from campus. Updates will follow as construction is about to begin on our Rosedale Renaissance project — you will now see fencing at the location of our new clock tower.

About the Rosedale Renasssaince

The Rosedale Renaissance is more than just a $6.5 million project designed to revitalize campus and the Polytechnic neighborhood. It represents our vision for the future of the university.

There are four key pieces to the Rosedale Renaissance project:

• A "front door" to the university, including a new entryway, clock tower, reflecting pool and promenade-style sidewalks
• The United Methodist Church Central Texas Conference Service Center, which will also be home to the bishop’s offices
• A business accelerator center that will initially focus on providing market research and analysis for Southeast Fort Worth 
• $1.8 million investment in the streets adjacent to campus, that leverages $32 million in street improvements along East Rosedale

Texas Wesleyan has collaborated with the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County and the North Central Texas Council of Governments to make this transformation happen, and this public-private partnership has been vital to the success of the project.

The improvements being made to campus are going to do much more than enhance the aesthetic quality of campus — they’re also laying the groundwork for long-term sustainable economic growth in our community.

It’s all part of Texas Wesleyan’s 2020 Vision — a strategic plan set forth by President Frederick G. Slabach that clearly identifies the university mission’s and goals.
