I am pleased to honor Michele Ardigo, CRNA, assistant professor of nurse anesthesia, with the next President’s GEM Award for her work with GPNA’s inaugural Simulation Symposium.
The Simulation Symposium gave our first-year nurse anesthesia students the opportunity to receive individual instruction on the latest, most up-to-date technologies in the field. The entire GPNA faculty assisted with the implementation of the new symposium, but the design, organization and simulation experiences are a credit to Michele.
Specifically, the ultrasound experience was enriched by an educational grant she authored. This grant provided funding for additional state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment and a technician on hand for the event.
Please help me congratulate Michele on a successful symposium that enriched our students’ education and will make a huge impact on their transition to professional careers. The core of our 2020 Vision is academic distinction, and it is faculty members, like Michele, who are working every day to help us achieve our goals.
