Please join President Frederick G. Slabach at the 127th Academic Year Opening Convocation at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 29 in Martin Hall.

Dr. Brenda Taylor Matthews, Pate Professor of History, will be the keynote speaker. Dr. Matthews has been part of the Texas Wesleyan family since 1995, teaching a generation of students a wide variety of history courses. Dr. Matthews has worked hard to connect with students on an individual level to make each of her history courses live into our "Smaller. Smarter." vision of high-quality education.

Faculty should arrive at the Baker Building no later than 11:30 a.m. to line up. Come dressed in academic regalia, with the exception of tams. Please join us as we welcome all faculty, staff and board members to campus for a historic Wesleyan tradition.
