Texas Wesleyan University men's head soccer coach Cole Sweetser announced today the hiring of former Ram goalkeeper Dejan 'Milo' Milosevic as assistant coach.
Dejan's journey as a goalkeeper began in one of the best known youth programs in Europe, called F.K Partizan. Dejan was a member of F.K Partizan for twelve years. While attending F.K Partizan, Dejan had the pleasure of winning many championship games. In addition to F.K Partizan, Dejan also played for Hajduck Belgrade and Jedinstvo Surcin.
In the United States, Dejan attened Arizona Western College where he was a two-time All-Conference selection and was named MVP of the Region I Finals in 2010. Shortly after, Dejan attended Texas Wesleyan University where he made 162 career saves in two seasons and was a first team 2012 All-Southwest Region selection by NSCAA, as well as an All-Conference selection. In 2013, Dejan signed with the Dallas Sidekicks, one of the longest-running soccer franchises in the nation. In December of 2013 he recorded the first shutout by a Sidekicks goalkeeper in the PASL-era and the seventh shutout in the history of the league.
Dejan became a student assistant for the Texas Wesleyan men's soccer program, while coaching at Odyssey Soccer Club. A few years later, Dejan accepted an assistant position at Hill College where he helped the women's team win two Regional Championships and to the District Finals in 2018. Dejan successfully started a soccer club called Texas Eagles FC, which is now called Fort Worth FC. Dejan is the Executive Director and Director of Coaching. Dejan is happily married to Elizabeth, they have a daughter named Lara and are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their baby boy in 2019.
