Texas Wesleyan University enjoys its place in the friendly city of Fort Worth and feels the city is an extension of the family-like environment that Wesleyan offers as a small, four-year university.
Dedicated to giving back to its community, Wesleyan provides volunteer opportunities so that students are not just learning and getting a formal higher education, but truly becoming a part of the community and receiving a social education as well. Volunteering gives students a chance to better society while showing others the importance of education and potentially recruiting future Wesleyan Rams. Past projects have included partnering with the Fort Worth school district to adopt a school and working with Kiwanis International.
The university understands the value of partnerships with its surroundings. The community outreach campaign communicates with local junior colleges, businesses, chambers of commerce, and non-profit organizations. This means the community is exposed to the great students and programs of Wesleyan and Wesleyan students have the opportunity to get to know the community.
As a top tourist destination in Texas, Fort Worth offers plenty – from its cowboy heritage to artistic opportunities – for Wesleyan students to explore. Whatever your interest – racecars, fine restaurants, zoo animals, fashion, history, theater, science, art, shopping, opera, and more – can be found in the affordable venues of Fort Worth.
