The Engaging Educator Award goes to professors who go above and beyond to engage their students with research and the community.

For her work as a professor and mentor to Texas Wesleyan students, Michelle Payne, associate professor of political science, was honored with the Engaging Educator Award.

“Dr. Payne is a wonderful mentor at Texas Wesleyan,” said Frederick G. Slabach, president of Texas Wesleyan University. “She focuses on critical thinking and helping students prepare for professional school and careers.”
