Cowtown Cleanup 2016 was a success

04.06.2016 | By:

School of Business student Kimberly McLean took the reins this year to draw Texas Wesleyan’s attention to the Fort Worth Cowtown Cleanup on April 2. Last year, there were 15 volunteers from the school participating in the Cleanup; this year, with Kimberly’s encouragement, there were nearly 80 from Texas Wesleyan.

Joining forces with Polytechnic Heights (who had over 200 volunteers), efforts were made to cleanup the community immediately surrounding Polytechnic High School, Texas Wesleyan University and the Boys and Girls Club of Fort Worth. Planning time for the project (on Kimberly’s part) took 40 hours; volunteers that day from Texas Wesleyan alone logged 320 hours.
