Accounting Certificate Program

About the Program

Are you looking to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)? We have the classes you need. Our Accounting Certificate Program is designed for students who have their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and are looking to take the required courses to sit for the CPA exam.

This program is designed to allow transfer credit. Credits are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. For courses to transfer, you must take them within a reasonable amount of time. You cannot transfer more than six credit hours.

What are the requirements?

In order to be a part of the Accounting Certificate Program, you have to meet the following requirements:

  • Must complete all accounting courses with a "C" or better
  • Must have an undergraduate degree from a U.S. educational institution
  • Must have a GPA of 2.0 or better

When you complete the certificate program, your transcript will list the Accounting Certificate Program. The program only meets the accounting requirements for the CPA exam. Visit the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy (TSBPA) website for more requirements and details.
