Kate Naughton is director of data analytics and reporting at the Leadership Academy Network (LAN), an innovative partnership between Texas Wesleyan University and Fort Worth ISD to sustain and grow academic success at five once-struggling Pre-K through 8 campuses. Naughton oversees LAN efforts to collect and extract meaning from data as a means of building upon successful education initiatives as well as identifying areas of concern and opportunities for improvement.
Naughton brings 16 years of data evaluation, program development and classroom instruction experience with Fort Worth ISD to her current LAN role. She previously served for seven years as a data specialist for the district. Prior to that, she served as an evaluation specialist, ESOL language arts teacher, and as a project development specialist. Naughton earned a bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature in 2004 from the University of Texas.
Fort Worth ISD designed its Leadership Academies to feature highly effective educators, a heightened focus on daily academic mastery and an extended school day, among other benefits. Established in 2019, the LAN maintains Fort Worth ISD’s Leadership Academy model while leveraging the institutional resources of the Texas Wesleyan School of Education.
