Texas Wesleyan participated in Dunbar High School's monthly Dads of Dunbar November meeting. This past year, Principal Sajade Miller and the Dunbar High School staff formed Dads of Dunbar to generate more family involvement in the education community. The focus of the group is to get more dads and father figures involved at school. There were over 40 dads in attendance at the November the meeting.

During the Dads of Dunbar breakfast meeting, Jamal Williams, Texas Wesleyan's director of collegiate partnerships and collegiate academy, gave an update on the dual enrollment partnership with FWISD and the progress of the early college high school program. This semester, Dunbar High School students were able to enroll in Texas Wesleyan classes that are taught primarily in Dunbar classrooms.
