Congratulations to Cheyenne Manuel on receiving the Alumni Legacy Scholarship! Cheyenne is one of five recipients for the 2024-25 school year that will receive support from funds raised by the Alumni Association throughout the year.
Cheyenne is in her sophomore year and has several family members that have attended Texas Wesleyan.
What is your major and planned graduation year?
I am an English major and am planning to graduate late 2026 or early 2027.
What are your plans after graduation?
I have put a lot of thought into my post-graduation plans but am still uncertain about a specific career. I do know for certain that I would like to go into the writing career field, particularly creative/fiction writing, since it is one of my strengths.
Why did you choose Texas Wesleyan?
I chose Texas Wesleyan because of previous family that attended and the small community yet big opportunities it provides. Growing up in a small high school graduating class of under one hundred students, I feel right at home at Texas Wesleyan!
What are your favorite things about being a student at TXWES?
I love being able to connect with professors and students alike that share the same major interests as me. The resources I am provided as a student are excellent as well; Microsoft Word is especially convenient for my writing projects and is one of my favorites.
Tell us some interesting facts about yourself.
I love reading and writing, as well as spending time with my younger sister. In my free time, I'll either be at home with a cup of tea or out shopping with my friends. I also have a super lovable cat that means the world to me and is super spoiled. I am the 3rd generation family member attending TXWES, following in the footsteps of my two uncles and older cousin.
