Evan Faris ’76 was cast as Chip in Graham Regional Theatre’s production of the musical comedy — “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.”
Martha Earngey ’77 recently completed a two-year term as president of the Fort Worth Phi Mu Alumnae Chapter. She now serves as a member at large.
Kerry Getter ‘77 announced his retirement during a board meeting with Balcones Resources. Getter founded Balcones Resources in 1994 and served as CEO until his announcement. Throughout his career, Getter spent nearly four decades in the recycling industry and revolutionizing single-stream recycling in the state of Texas.
Lester Bedford ’79 is the president of the newly formed Texas Boxing Hall of Fame.
Willie R. Hargis ‘78 recently published his book, “Going Postal.”
1980s
Rex Renan Williams, III, DDS ’80 and his son wrote and published “Letter Home: A Journey Into Recovery” released this past March on Amazon and Kindle.
Stan Graner ’81 was cast as Horace Vandergelder in the Stolen Shakespeare Guild’s production of “Hello Dolly.”
Veronica Martinez ’81 retired from Fort Worth ISD after teaching 41 years at W.J. Turner Elementary School.
Tracey Wood-Sanford ’83 was named treasurer for the Fort Worth Phi Mu Alumnae Chapter.
1990s
Mike McEachern ’92 has been named the athletic director of Pflugerville ISD after previously serving as the athletic director and head football coach at Huffman ISD.
Jill Crane Kersh ’92 has retired from teaching after 29 years and named Campus Teacher of the Year at Eagle Ridge Elementary for the 2021-2022 school year. Since retirement, she has become an independent consultant for Collaborate Classroom, which is a mission-driven, nonprofit organization committed to ensuring that all students become readers, writers and thinkers who learn from, care for and respect one another.
Meredith Lucio ’93 was on the executive producing team of the reading of "Belva", the new musical written by and starring actress Janine Turner (Northern Exposure, Cliffhanger, Friday Night Lights) in New York City.
Vanisha Desai Lunia ’93 has joined the American College of Emergency Physicians as an editor.
Jan Pettigrew Wilde ’94 is in her seventh year of retail and currently the senior team lead at Rally House in Southlake, Texas.
Jeri (Simons) Chipman ’97 was named Director of Alumni Relations at Texas Wesleyan University.
Bob Mills ‘95 received his Master’s in Management and Leadership from Liberty University in 2018 and was just re-elected the York County treasurer in Maine and was re-elected to the Biddeford City Council. Bob and his wife, Heather, are the proud parents of six boys.

Darrell Bartell ’00 has three books published with Rising Phoenix Press, including “Ten-Five: You’re Going Home Marine,” “Barry and the Vampire in the Rosedale Encounter” and “The Corona Monologues: Auditioning monologues based on the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Nick Davis JD ‘08 graduated in May with his Master’s in Public Service and Administration from the Bush School of Government.

Melissa (McDuffee) Turkett ’11 received the Harry Denman Evangelism Award which honors exceptional ministry of evangelism within the Central Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church.

Lauren (Biffle) Robles ’12 was named Ferris High School Teacher of the Year.
Paul Packard DNAP ’12 was inducted as a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (FAANA) during the AANA’s recent Annual Congress in Chicago earlier this year.
Christian Garcia Wommack ’12 and husband Jason welcomed son Reed on January 11, 2022.
Baron Yarborough ’13 began working for Birmingham Fastener, Inc., a Champion Manufacturing company, as a general manager in April.
