Digital Marketing team makes big impression at national conference

Stephanie Scott, the director of digital marketing & strategy, and Shannon Lamberson, the GPNA digital marketing manager, made a big impact presenting at a national education conference in July. Ruffalo Noel Levitz, a leading technology services, software and consulting company for higher education, invited Scott and Lamberson to speak at their National Conference for Student Recruitment, Marketing and Retention about how to integrate data and tracking into both traditional and digital marketing campaigns.

“We were honored to be selected to present at the conference,” said Lamberson. “Education conferences seem to be lacking in cutting-edge digital marketing content. Stephanie and I were happy to share some of our knowledge.”

Their presentation, titled Transform Data to Decisions with Google Analytics, included an interactive element, which encouraged audience participation on Twitter via the hashtag #datatodecisions. Roman Ortega, one of the audience members, tweeted the following during their presentation.

Scott and Lamberson have been part of the Texas Wesleyan marketing team for almost two years, starting just a few weeks from each other. Together, they are using their digital marketing experience from the agency and corporate worlds to implement innovative digital marketing strategies and tracking for Texas Wesleyan.

“Prospective students are searching online and we have the opportunity to meet them there. By integrating a cohesive digital strategy across the campus, we position ourselves strongly in our market,” said Scott. “That’s what we’ve done on campus and the message we’re spreading throughout our industry.”
