Due to the continued effects of winter weather, Texas Wesleyan will extend remote operation and virtual instruction though tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 3.

Even though Fort Worth and the surrounding area are starting to see light at the end of the winter weather tunnel, we want to be mindful of the safety of our RAMily while on campus and heading to campus.

The JV women's basketball game versus Cedar Valley College previously scheduled for Friday evening has been canceled. More information about the rescheduling of that game will be communicated at a later date. All student activities will remain canceled.

Update, Feb. 1 | Noon

Due to the continued effects of winter weather, Texas Wesleyan will continue with remote operation and virtual instruction tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 2.

All athletic practices are cancelled, as well as both the men's and women's basketball games versus Southwest Christian Academy scheduled for tomorrow. More information about the rescheduling of those games will be communicated at a later date.

All student activities will remain canceled, including the Black History Month Kick-Off Celebration. There are tentative plans to reschedule the event once the University is back to normal operations.

Update, Jan. 31 | 3 p.m.

Due to the continued effects of winter weather, Texas Wesleyan will continue with remote operation and virtual instruction tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 1. Extending virtual instruction helps prevent stress at the end of the semester when students and faculty are crunched for instructional time. We are a technologically advanced university, so continuing to transition to remote learning provides our students with the individualized attention they deserve.

Update, Jan. 30 | 3 p.m.

Due to the continued effects of winter weather, Texas Wesleyan will continue with remote operations and virtual instruction tomorrow, Jan. 31.  All athletic practices will remain canceled and the women's JV basketball game versus Kilgore College, scheduled for tomorrow at 6 p.m., is also canceled. The rescheduling of that game will be determined at a later date.

• All athletic practices for today, Monday, Jan. 30 are canceled.
• The men's basketball developmental game previously scheduled for 8 p.m. tonight has also been canceled. The rescheduling of that game is to be determined at a later date.

Winter Weather Update | 7:18 a.m.

To ensure the safety of our students, staff and families, Texas Wesleyan University will transition to remote operations and virtual instruction beginning at 8 a.m. today, Monday, Jan. 30, due to inclement weather that arrived faster than anticipated and the potential for hazardous road conditions. We apologize for the late notice and any inconvenience. We’ll continue to monitor the weather and provide updates the remainder of the week. Be safe and stay warm.
