'Smaller. Smarter.' wins at the Educational Advertising Awards

Texas Wesleyan’s Office of Marketing and Communications, led by vice president John Veilleux, announced today that the team has been awarded seven marketing and advertising awards for the 2014 “Smaller. Smarter.” campaign.

The marketing & communications team is proud to report that the University’s "Smaller. Smarter." advertising has struck gold again, with several awards from the Educational Advertising Awards. 

The Awards:

  • Gold – TV Series for 2014 TV campaign
  • Silver – TV Single for "When We Say Smaller"
  • Merit – Direct Mail for 2014 Direct Mail
  • Merit – New Media for Smaller. Smarter. Promise

Total Awards:

  • 9 Gold
  • 9 Silver
  • 7 Bronze
  • 8 Merit

The University has earned 33 overall awards since the campaign began. This year, the University has received six gold awards for its advertising efforts.

Texas Wesleyan's 2014-2015 advertising campaign has been its most successful in history, and includes the 60-second "When We Say Smaller" commercial, new 15-second commercials (remember the dog?), new billboards, direct mail pieces and an admissions website. 

Marketing and branding efforts to establish and elevate Texas Wesleyan's role in the community as a leader in undergraduate liberal arts and graduate-level professional programs is a key goal set forth by President Frederick G. Slabach in the University's 2020 Strategic Vision.

"These awards confirm what we know," Veilleux said. "That 'Smaller. Smarter.' is resonating in the marketplace. We are getting noticed."
