Table Tennis divisional tournament this weekend, free admission

Texas Wesleyan Table Tennis Team wins 11th straight national championship.

Texas Wesleyan’s 11-time national championship table tennis team is looking for a “12-peat.”

The Rams host the NCTTA divisional tournament this weekend in the Sid Richardson Gym.

Admission is free.

  • Tarrant County College

*Winner of division is guaranteed a spot at Regional tournament Feb. 21-22, hosted at Texas Wesleyan. Second-place team may get a wild card slot for Regionals. 

Fun facts:

  • Texas Wesleyan University is the defending national champions. The Rams have won the team competition for 11 years in a row. Largest table tennis dynasty in the country.
  • Team consists of 29 players from 11 different countries (China, Ukraine, Nepal, Dominican Republic, Brazil, Germany, Sri Lanka, Peru, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia and the U.S.)
  • Texas Wesleyan offers scholarships for table tennis players.
  • This is not your average ping-pong. Table tennis balls can fly up to 75 mph.
