Texas Wesleyan has been ranked fourth in Time magazine’s list of both private and public colleges from across the country that have diversified the most since 1990.

The data tracks both private and public universities from 1990 to 2014 to measure diversity among student populations.

Texas Wesleyan has been ranked fourth in Time magazine’s list of both private and public colleges from across the country that have diversified the most since 1990. According to the study, Texas Wesleyan’s diversity has increased 41.9 percent over the last 24 years.

Ranked ahead of Texas Wesleyan is Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Ga., the University of Nevada in Las Vegas and Green River College in Auburn, Wash.

“There is so much to learn from each other on a campus as diverse as Texas Wesleyan,” Dennis Hall, dean of students, said.

“Our wide range of student organizations, like the Asian Students Association, the Bilingual Education Student Organization and the Saudi Cultural Club support our international students and teach our domestic students about heritages and cultures across the globe.”

The Time magazine study includes demographic data from the Department of Education for full-time undergraduate students, at non-profit private and public degree-granting institutions with more than 500 students in 1990 and 2014.
