Texas Wesleyan University Earns National Recognition in 2026 U.S. News & World Report Rankings

Top honors in Best Colleges, Social Mobility, Health Programs, and Social Sciences & Humanities highlight TXWES commitment to transformational learning 

FORT WORTH, Texas — Texas Wesleyan University is once again earning national recognition for delivering a high-quality, student-centered college experience, securing multiple distinctions in the 2026 rankings released by U.S. News & World Report. 

TXWES was recognized among the nation’s Best Colleges, with additional top rankings for Social MobilityBest Health Schools, and Social Sciences & Humanities graduate programs including standout recognition for its nationally respected nurse anesthesia program and strong psychology and counseling programs. 

“These rankings reflect the drive of our students to succeed and the deep commitment of our faculty to their growth,” said President Emily W. Messer. “Our focus on transformational learning and personalized support continues to open doors for our students and elevate outcomes that truly change lives.” 

Texas Wesleyan’s continued placement in Social Mobility reinforces the university’s mission to expand access to higher education and create pathways for upward mobility. With a significant percentage of first-generation and Pell-eligible students, TXWES remains a leader in helping students achieve academic success and long-term career advancement. 

The university’s health programs, particularly the Graduate Program of Nurse Anesthesia (GPNA), continue to receive national attention for excellence in clinical preparation and student outcomes. Similarly, programs in psychology and counseling are recognized for preparing graduates to meet growing needs in mental health and human services.
