Texas Wesleyan University checked in at No. 20 this week in the NAIA Baseball Top-25 Coaches' Poll. This is their first national ranking since the 2014 Preseason Poll.

The Rams (31-14), have won 16-consecutive games and currently lead the Sooner Athletic Conference standings by percentage points over Southwestern Christian University at 14-4 in conference play.

Texas Wesleyan's 16-game winning streak is the program's longest since winning 19 in a row during the 2008 campaign.

The team is coming off a three-game sweep of then 13th ranked Oklahoma City University. During their winning streak, the Rams have outscored their opponents 107-35.

The poll was topped by Georgia Gwinnett (43-4) for the fourth straight week. Bellevue (34-6), Faulkner (38-10), Lewis-Clark State (36-7), and USC Beaufort (36-6) round out the top-5.

The SAC featured two ranked teams in the Rams and No. 22 Science & Arts. Southwestern Christian and Oklahoma City were listed as receiving votes. 

The Rams return to action Friday and Saturday with a three-game SAC series at St. Gregory's University. Friday's opener is scheduled for a 3 p.m. start in Shawnee, Oklahoma, with Saturday's doubleheader scheduled for a 12 p.m. first pitch.

Ramblings

- The Rams are 5-1 all-time against St. Gregory's. They are 40-26 all-time in SAC play.

- The Rams currently rank fourth in the nation with their school record 24 triples on the season.

- Texas Wesleyan's pitching staff currently ranks 17th in the nation with a team ERA of 3.15 and 19th with an opponent's batting average of .241.
