Do you plan on attending any TXWES sporting events this fall? If so, see the COVID guidelines for the fall semester below.

Spectators

Spectators at athletic events are expected to self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms prior to attending an athletic contest on the Texas  Wesleyan campus. The screening includes a temperature check within 6 hours of the start time of the contest. The Texas Wesleyan Athletic Department prohibits anyone with a temperature above 99.4 degrees to enter an athletic venue.

If you experience any of the following COVID-19 symptoms, please stay home:

  • Cough
  • Fever
  • Chills
  • Sore throat
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle pain
  • Headache
  • Repeated shaking with chills
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Runny nose or new sinus congestion
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • New GI symptoms (i.e. diarrhea)

Spectators who do not live in the same household or who did not travel to the event together are expected to maintain 6 feet of social distancing when attending games. At most athletic venues, seating will be marked accordingly.

Capacity at athletic venues will follow current city and state guidelines. Currently, spectator capacity is 50% for Texas Wesleyan athletic events.

Spectators are required to wear Masks at all times while on the grounds of a Texas Wesleyan athletic venue, and the Texas Wesleyan campus.

Hand sanitizing stations are available in each facility.

Signage displaying the expectations listed above will be posted on the athletic website and at the entry point of each athletic venue.

Visitiors

Only visitors deemed essential by department leads will be permitted to enter facilities. All visitors will be required to submit a screening questionnaire and check-in with the athletic department prior to entering any of the athletic facilities. Visitors are expected to follow all campus policies and procedures, including wearing masks and maintaining social distancing of 6 feet at all times.
