The Texas Wesleyan University football team has secured a place in the record books with the largest early signee class in school history.

"It feels great! We're excited about this recruiting class," said Head Football Coach Joe Prud'Homme. "We feel that the momentum created by last year's conference championship has set the stage for a great future."

In 2021, TXWES Athletics and Facilities announced the construction of a $16.5 million stadium, which will be home to football, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's track and field and cross country. With the success of the football team and a brand-new stadium, the attention on the Rams will be rising in the coming years.

"I'm excited about the stadium — it's the next big step for football and the entire athletic program," Prud'Homme said.

After cementing their first conference championship since 1941, the Rams capped off a historic season that will stick in the record books for years to come.
