Eugene Frier, director of esports & gaming, discussed TXWES Esports and the philosophy behind it on a recent episode of the podcast The Summoning Hour.

He discussed that the program is more than just about competing with other teams, but also having students use their skills and other interests to build, not just a winning record, but a career. 

“One thing we say a lot on our campus is that if you give students—if you give anyone—a strong enough why, they’ll figure out how," Frier told host Joe Belousek.
