Faby Rodriguez currently serves as the Director for the Upward Bound Math & Science Programs at Texas Wesleyan. Faby is a first-generation graduate with a B.A. in Spanish from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Master’s in Business Administration from Texas Woman’s University. Faby has been with the Upward Bound Programs at Texas Wesleyan University since its start in 2004. She has made TRIO her life’s work and is devoted and passionate about educating and empowering students. She feels a special connection to TRIO students because she came from a similar disadvantaged background and wants to make sure all students have equal opportunities and resources. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her two boys, one of whom keeps her busy with baseball. She is also a big advocate for Type 1 Diabetes and is never shy in educating people about this auto immune disease which took over her eldest son’s life at the age of 7.
