The Student Theatrical Experience Fund, a partnership with the Student Government Association and Theatre Wesleyan established in 2016, will be available to the students for the upcoming production of Exit, Pursued By A BearThe fund helps TXWES students see Theatre Wesleyan shows for free.

In Exit, Pursued By A Bear, from one of America's most-produced living playwrights, Nan has decided to teach her abusive husband Kyle a lesson. With the help of her friends, she tapes Kyle to a chair and forces him to watch as they reenact scenes from their painful past. In the piece de resistance, they plan to cover the room in meat and honey so Kyle will be mauled by a bear. Through this night of emotional trials and ridiculous theatrics, Nan and Kyle are both freed from their past in this smart, dark revenge comedy. This show contains adult themes and language, prop firearms and weapons, as well as domestic abuse, and is produced by special arrangement with Playscripts, Inc.

The cast, design team, and crew comprised of Texas Wesleyan theatre majors and minors pursuing Bachelor or Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees. Understudies include Peri Zachmeyer (Nan u/s), Nicole Ellis (Sweetheart u/s), Jackson Loya (Simon u/s), and Henry Valentine (Kyle u/s).
