CRNA students must participate in a minimum of 800 cases at Texas Wesleyan spread out over many different specialties, types of anesthetics and patient demographics. Rotations are usually one-to-two months long and usually cover the following areas:
If a primary clinical hospital does not do one or more of these things, you will be assigned a rotation at a facility that provides the service. Even if a facility does have every service, it can be beneficial to see the difference in alternative practice settings.

Not only will you meet your case requirements, you'll exceed them.
Our CRNA students participate from 800 to over 1,000 cases during the clinical phase of the program.
If there's a certain kind of experience you're looking to gain, don't worry — you'll have a chance to work with any and everything that interests you within the field of nurse anesthesia during your 20-month clinical rotation.
Some rotations are out of town or out of state and incur travel and lodging expenses.
Some out-of-state rotations require the student to apply for an additional state license.
