Texas Wesleyan University recorded a 23% year-over-year increase in Summer 2026 enrollment, reflecting continued growth across several graduate programs. This milestone reinforces the university's growing reputation as a destination for students seeking a personalized, career-focused education in Fort Worth and beyond.

The majority of the growth came from new graduate enrollment in the university's Doctor of Education (EdD) and Family Nurse Practitioner programs. Returning-student enrollment also rose sharply in those same programs, as well as in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. The Family Nurse Practitioner program builds upon Texas Wesleyan’s strength in health professions, which includes its nationally recognized Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNAP) program.

"This summer’s enrollment growth is a clear signal that Texas Wesleyan’s academic reputation continues to expand, both here in Fort Worth and well beyond our city limits," Dr. Emily Messer, president, said. "Students are choosing Texas Wesleyan because they see a university deeply invested in their success, from the classroom to the career that follows. At any time on campus, you see our faculty working side-by-side with our students, mentoring and advising each one to ensure they are well-positioned to achieve their goals.”

"We’re seeing sustained demand for graduate programs that prepare working professionals for real advancement," said Lauren Findley, vice president of Enrollment Management. "The continued growth of our health professions, education and business programs reflects their relevance in today’s workforce and the value students place on Texas Wesleyan’s personalized approach. Growth among both new and continuing students shows that our programs are meeting important workforce needs while delivering the personal attention and signature educational experience students expect from Texas Wesleyan.”

The enrollment increase comes as Texas Wesleyan continues to expand its academic offerings and national visibility, including its recent recognition of a No. 10 national ranking in an OnDeck study of universities producing small-business owners. The university has also earned recognition from U.S. News and World Report for its academic programs and commitment to social mobility.
