University recognized among the nation's top four-year institutions for transfer student success 

Texas Wesleyan University has been named to Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society's (PTK) 2026 Transfer Honor Roll, one of the nation's most comprehensive recognitions of transfer excellence. Texas Wesleyan is among 275 four-year colleges and universities nationwide selected for the honor. 

The Transfer Honor Roll recognizes institutions that have built strong pathways for community college transfer students to earn bachelor's degrees. Colleges are evaluated using data from the National Student Clearinghouse and PTK Connect, Phi Theta Kappa’s online platform connecting top community college students with transfer opportunities across five dimensions: transfer student success outcomes, credit mobility and degree applicability, financial support for transfer students, recruitment and admissions practices, and campus engagement and support for transfer students.

"We work hand-in-hand with community college partners to make sure credits transfer efficiently, and students feel supported as they work to achieve their goals. This recognition reflects the intentional, personal approach our team brings to every transfer student we serve." 

This year, 1,117 colleges and universities completed PTK’s institutional profile. Collectively, the 275 institutions named to the 2026 Transfer Honor Roll reported an average bachelor’s degree completion rate of 77% among transfer students, with an average of 88% of transferred credits applied toward their degrees.  

Texas Wesleyan's recognition on the Honor Roll reinforces the university's ongoing commitment to accessible, student-centered pathways to a bachelor's degree for community college transfer students across North Texas and beyond.
